A visit to the Rockville campus of the Historical Society includes a tour of both the Beall-Dawson House (including any special exhibits) and the Stonestreet Museum of 19th Century Medicine. The Beall-Dawson House is a Federal style (ca. 1815) historic house with period rooms illustrating early life in the county and Rockville and changing exhibitions which explore different facets of county history. The Stonestreet Museum of 19th Century Medicine is a one-room 1852 doctor’s office with exhibits on 19th century medicine and medical practices.
