The museum is located in a complex of buildings used by the Clore Plow Factory and later by the J. W. Whitlock furniture factory. Today it houses exhibits featuring Ohio County’s history. It is home to the World Famous Hoosier Boy raceboat, which J. W. Whitlock set a speed record on the Ohio River in 1924. Other artifacts of interest included Whitlock’s first-coin operated jukebox known as an Autoharp.
