The Timber Lake and Area Historical Society and Museum is located on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation in northwestern South Dakota.

Collections include regional historic, natural history and art displayed in a large public gallery.

Individual exhibits include fossils of the age of dinosaurs, traditional Indian items (Lakota, Dakota and crow), extensive photo collection and archives from early reservation and homesteading period, wood carving, bronzes and paintings by local and regional artists.
