Ye Olde Curiosity Shop is a museum and store located on the Seattle Waterfront. It was started by Daddy Standley in 1899 as trading post for the Alaskan gold rush. Since then the shop has collected many curiosities including: mummies, real shrunken heads, two headed animals, paintings on the heads of pins, The Lord’s Prayer on a grain of rice, and much more!
The shop has been operating by the same family and is into it’s 5th generation! Visitors come from all over the globe to view our museum collection as well as shop at our eclectic store. We have many wacky, wild, and weird items to peak your interest.
AASLH members can request a private tour by phoning the shop and asking for Doctor Peg.
